Surge was founded by engineers and researchers who dreamed of building the next generation of AI. Our platform powers the most capable models in the world, in partnership with companies like Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, and Meta. We've run a profitable business from day one without raising venture funding.

The Role
Great sourcing is detective work. You'll figure out who's doing exceptional work, where to find them, and what would make them want to talk to us.
You'll source across engineering, research, product, and partnerships, working side by side with our recruiters and hiring managers. The bar is extremely high. A good résumé isn't enough, and neither is a keyword match. You need to know what makes someone exceptional, and why.

What You'll Do

• Build pipelines for our hardest searches, technical and non-technical.

• Map the market. Learn which teams, labs, and communities produce the best people, and share what you're seeing.

• Write outreach people actually read: specific, researched, never templated.

• Run first conversations and hand recruiters candidates who are warm and ready.

• Tell hiring managers when a spec doesn't match the market, and show them why.

• Find new channels when the obvious ones run dry.

What We're Looking For

• You've found great people in competitive markets. Engineering or research sourcing is a big plus.

• You can find people LinkedIn can't.

• You write well. Candidates notice.

• You don't need a playbook, and you move fast. Great candidates move fast, and so do we.
